The BMS is the main battery control system.
The Battery Management System (BMS) is a crucial component of a Lithium Iron Phosphate Battery (also known as LiFePO4 or LFP battery). It protects the battery from over-voltage, under-voltage, over current, and short-circuit. Although LiFePO4 batteries do not have the risk of thermal runaway or explosion like other lithium batteries, the BMS is still essential.
