Vertical rack ground bar kits provide a vertical ground path between equipment mounted on a rack and are typically used on 2 post racks or 4 post racks. Horizontal rack ground bar kits are used to consolidate grounds on the equipment rack and are typically used on 2 post racks or 4 post racks.
The rack must be properly grounded. Use a rack grounding kit and a ground conductor that is carried back to earth or to another suitable building ground. CAD weld appropriate wire terminals to building I-beams or earth ground rods. For a DC-powered switch, use a minimum 14 AWG stranded copper wire for grounding.
Telecommunication grounding bars are used as a central consolidation point for telecommunications and other low voltage systems within a telecommunications room. Ground rod / pipe clamps are used to attach ground wire to raised floor pedestals. Two-hole mechanical lug is used for the connection of electrical wire to the grounding bus.
