Abstract. This paper demonstrates novel Flywheel-based Fast Charging Station (FFCS) for high perfor mance and profitable charging infrastructures for p ublic electric buses. An optimization model was created in this research to reduce the operational costs of a workplace EV charging station equipped with a flywheel energy storage system and a photovoltaic energy source. The suggested model incorporates a practical deterioration cost model that is affected by aging parameters.
