The single-phase full bridge inverter is shown in Figure 1(a). A single-phase full-bridge inverter converts a DC voltage to an AC voltage by using a modulation technique to the bridge circuit. The bridge circuit is made of semiconductor switching devices e.g. MOSFET or IGBT. Then, a filter is used to produce sinusoidal current and voltage.
In this paper, the traditional direct instantaneous power tracking predictive control is improved by ripple voltage separating feedback and changing the ripple power tracking method. The proposed time-varying observer achieves accurate extraction of each ripple amplitude and DC component information from the output voltage.
This control combines instantaneous ripple power control with model predictive control to track instantaneous ripple power instead of decoupled voltage or current waveforms. In this way, even if the voltage and current are distorted, all ripple power in the system can be fully buffered and have a fast dynamic response.
