Currently, one nominated electricity market operator (electricity exchange), which is Nord Pool AS, operates in Latvia. The exchange ensures the electricity markets integration with other European Union Member States electricity markets, with which the Latvian electricity system has interconnections. The legal framework for the electricity market in Latvia is the Electricity Market Law that stipulates that the transmission system operator, with its functions, should facilitate the operation of the internal electricity market and cross-border trade, including the support of electricity exchanges development.
In 2018, at that point the largest generator T1900 with a V16 Mitsubishi engine of 1,900 kVA for Z-Towers was delivered and installed. In 2019, the most powerful electric car charging station in Latvia was installed at Energolukss building – 100 kW. In 2019, the delivery of solar energy solutions to customers was started.
