“Cambodia has an opportunity to push for a greener energy future by requesting investment specifically in clean technologies like solar, battery storage, and closed-loop systems of pumped storage hydropower,” she said. Today, nine solar power plants are connected to the national grid and are capable of producing up to 444 megawatts (MW), according to the Stimson Center’s Mekong Infrastructure Tracker.
