Earlier this year, Ports of Stockholm, in collaboration with many other ports and stakeholders, received approval to apply for EU funding for three sustainability initiatives. Ports of Stockholm has announced that it will launch an innovative project that combines OPS and microgrid technology with its partners.
Ports of Stockholm aims to meet future energy needs and strengthen the sustainability of port operations with microgrid technology and OPS.
With the total solar energy production value and a yearly solar yield factor of 890 kWh/kWp as considered an average for Sweden 24, the estimated solar PV system size is 2400 kW. Reactive power was estimated using an assumed average power factor of 0.95 for all the transformers in the grid.
